AUCKLAND, May 7.. Negotiations with the Admiralty on the question of the supply, of coal and 01J, owing to the shortage for naval purposes, have been authorised by the Auckland Harbour Board. The matter came up in connection -with the : visit bo inngiaml of Mr Kussell; the board's solicitor, who is a passenger by. the Gomithic. A report- was presented by the board in committee to the elfecc that in view of Admiral Jellicoe's proposed visit to Auckland the Admiralty oe approached with the object- of ascertaining its views upon the establishment of oil and coai depots and the construction of a naval dry dock, and chat in the event of the Admiralty entertaining the matter, Mr Kussell be asked, wnen m .London, ..• to represent the board and that necessary authority be given to him to initiate negotiations WJtJi the Admiralty, the board to be tully consulted and advised by him. ilie report was adopted.
