WELCOMED AT WELLINGTON
WELLINGTON, May 7. Brigadier-General G. - S. Richardson nrrived from Auckland this afternoon and was heartily welcomed at the railway station. The gathering was not as large as it oHierwi** would have lieeu, owing, to a misunderstanding as to which train General Richardson wa« travelling by. Returned soldiers, who
[ were provided with a special enclosure ' on the station, were addressed briefly by the General, who said he hoped to meet them later. He brought with him greetings from New Zealanders still in England, and added that anything he could do to aid returned men he would Jbe glad to do. A civic reception was tendered to General Richardson in the Town Hall.
