CHRISTCHURCE, May 7. At Addingtou market to-day there was a very large entry of fat sheep and more cattle were offered, bundle yardings in other departments were generally smaller ■ than the previous week. There was a rather better tone in the store sheep market, for wethers especially, and better fat lambs were a little firmer, but fat cattle, which were mostly of, medium quality, were much easier, though anything - really prime sold well up to late rates. The fatsheep market opened at about tlie pre r ' vious week's prices, but soon-leased off and became irregular, and toflrards the end a number of lots were passed in. Prices were down from Is to ,2s per head, and in some cases more. There was a poor sale for store cattle, and dealers' prices were down, in consequence of a heavy supply and. the cheaper beef market.
