WELLINGTON, May 5
The Minister of Health stated that the work of extending quarantine stations was proceeding as rapidly as possible, and soon the stations would be up to the point where a ship's crew could be accommodated. It was hoped to be able to resume a partial passenger service by allowing first of all the bona fide New Zealanders in Australia to return. Mr Russell has received from the Government Agent at Sydney _ a letter .acknowledging a cable authorising advatices to necessitous New Zealanders. When the letter was written only one application had been made for an advance.
