The Paris edition of the New York "Herald" says- tho American Government rejected the British proposal for an international guarantee of a large German loan to revive industries and pay the mo;st pressing indemnities. Americans also opposed alii proposals to pool the whole costs of the -war. America will help in she solution of European financial .complications in. her own way. The "Echo de Paris" says that " Germany will pay five thousand millions in" bonds and gold ' immediately, and the whole cost of the war -spread over 30 years. The total indemnity will be decided within two yeans.
