WELLINGTON, April 29

An elderly woman, Mrs Margaret Reid, was knocked down by a motorcar in John Street at seven o'clock last evening. She was admitted to the hospital in an unconscious condition. She did not recover consciousness and died four hours later. The motor was driven by Mr E. Williams, of Island Bay. At the inquest on the boy Eric Shapcott, who died from injuries received by being knocked down on the Hutt Road by a motor-car, driven by Dr. Leahy, 'a verdict of accidental death, with no blame attachable- to the doctor, was returned.
