A Berlin message says that hard street-fighting occurred in Bremen. Spartacists at Stettin attempted to overthrow the Government, hut were defeated after a severe engagement with revolvers and grenades. The Hungarian Government has abolished all patents on manufacturing -secrets.

The United States Postmaster-Gen-eral (Mr A. S. Burleson) has recommended to President Wilson that telephones and telegraphs should bo returned to private owners as soon as the necessary legislation can be enacted.
The British Government is considering a special mission to Egypt with Lord Milner at its head, to report to the Home Government on questions concerning the Constitution of the Protectorate. It is not decided, however, whether Lord Milner will go.
