MINIATURE RIFLE CLUB.
The ninth annual meeting of the Ashburton Miniature Rifle Club was held iast evening, Mr A. E. Ciarke presiding.
The annual report showed that the past year had been successful from every point of view. Twenty-one matches had taken place, and in these considerable enthusiasm had been displayed by member*!.. The membership was 19 senior and nine junor, and it was hoped to inc?T>a.s*e these numbers next year. The championship was won by Mr A. Millichamp. The balancesheet showed a credit of ;C5 15s 9d. .
The report and balance-sheet were adopted.

It was agreed to approach the Returned Soldiers' Association with a view to arranging for a match on May 14. . .
A vote of thankf' was accorded the donors for the special prizes in oonnorHor> with the various competitions held during the past year.
