(R-eceived April 29, 11 a.m.) LONDON, April 28.
The "Daily Telegraph" has commenced publication of Viscount French's book entitled "1914." It deals with the utmost candour with his relations with Lord Kitchener, the Mons retreat, and the shortage of amtafUnition and reinforcements early in 1915.
Marshal Foch contributes a preface dealing with the German rushes for sea ports, and shows the immense importance of the battle for Ypres. He says that Viscount French kept his troops up to Wellington's level.
