LONDON, April 25
The Government Meat Committee will consult with. Mr Hughes and Mr Massey regarding the best means of increasing Australasian imports. Sir T. B. Robinson, Queensland Agent-Gen-eral, points out that war time losses of refrigerated tonnage have been practically replaced. Ho expects the Continental demand to largely increase in the immediate future at prices substantially above pre-war rates. On the ( i other hand some leading meat firms are inclined to pessimism. They belieye -that prices will debar French and j other impoverished Continental na-' tions from largely increasing their con- ! sumption.
