(Received April 16, 1 p.m.) LONDON, April 13. 1 Mr McCurdy announced that control is being released rapidly except on certain staple commodities. The Government is continuing the bread siibsidy, and nieat will be controlled until Michaelmas in accordance with the agreement with the producers. Butter will also be controlled, owing to the shortage. The authorities are mosj; carefully watching the operations of the food trusts of America. A Commission reported that the trusts intended to monopolise the world's supply for the purpose of securing extortionate proiits. The Ministry of Food intends; to continue the national kitchens, which were so successful, but are not opening ] others to compete with private enter- j prise. . ' ' ' I
