FOOTBALL.

A meeting of past and present students of tho Ashburton Technical School was held last evening in the woodwork room, Mr A. L. Moore presiding over an attendance of nearly 50 football enthusiasts.

The following office-bearers were elected :—Patron, the Major. (Mr R. Galbraith); president, Mr A. L. Moore; vice-presidents, Messrs H. C. N. Watson. C. Roid, W. G. Hillier, C. W. Allard, W. J. Anderson, W. Anderson, H. J. Chapman, A. T. Smith. G. Hefford, J. Henderson; secretary and treasurer, Mr J. Barter; club captain, Mr J. Boyce; delegate to Rusbv Union, Mr J. Barter; committee, Messrs P. Cooper, H. Gourley, J. Stoddart, and officersi. It was decided to enter two teams in the competition, viz.., one third grade and one fourth grade, with the possibility of a junior team. The subscription was fixed at 3s. It was resolved to name the club the Technical Past and Present Football Club, the colours to be white jersey with a black monogram containing the letters A.T.S. encircled by a heart.
