DOMINION STATEMENT.

WELLINGTON, April 11

The Minister of Health states that between noon on Mondcy and noon on Thursday there were forty-nine notifications of influenza throughout the Dominion, of which thirty-seven were' in the Auckland Health District. The great majority .of cases were mild, though there was one severe case in Auckland, three in the suburbs, and a fatal case in the Waikato. There were fifteen notifications from Wellington Health District, including one pneumonic at Manaia, one epidemic, mild type, at Eltham, and one pneumonic at Marton. In Canterbury Health District two mild easel were reported; and in Otago district five mild cases. ;

In consequence of numerous indications pointing to a recrudescence of the epidemic the Minister .of Public Health states that instructions are being.sent out to all . the district health officers that all necessary , pro-, sion is to be made for dealing with patients presenting epidemic features.
