CELIBACY OF CLERGY.

Father Bernard Va'ughan doubts the accuracy of the reports that 350 priests at Naples voted for the abolition of celibacy. There is, he said, no movement in the Church in that direction. The laity would not tolerate a -married clergy, who, without honouring the disciplinary practice of celibacy, could not be at the beck and call 1 of their people as now.
