The children attending St. Luke's Sunday School and the Scripture classes in the public schools gathered at the Vicarage for tliefF annual picnic, fi'aines .of various kinds" were played, and a programme of sports carried out very successfully j reflecting credit Pn those responsible for the arrangements".Afternoon 'tea was served on the lawn. On Sunday morning a children s service was held, when a large sandtray representing a village was used. The Rev. J. F. Feron dealt with the ouestion of feeding the hungry ... ajfiiheajing the sick in a masterly JV_!mner. Each child gave a gift tc. St. Saviour's Orphanage. Harvest thanksgiving services were hold At the Methodist and Presbyterian churches. At both the congregations were large, and the churches were well decorated. The preachers Were the Rev. S. Bailey and the Rev. Matthews respectively.
