JOHANNESBURG, • April 5. The strike .of engineers at the muni-cipal-power-house has been, settled. The terms of settlement include the establishment of Men's Advisory Committees, to co-operate with the management on ciuestions of wages and conditions: of labour. The Board of Control has ceased to exist. The builders' strike, however, is still unsettled. The General Council of the _ Industrial Federation carried a resolution recommending all the unions to ballot on the question of a sympathetic strike in. support of the builders.
