WAKANUI ROAD BOARD.

The monthly meeting of the Wakanui Road Board was held this afternoon. Present: Messrs J. Bruce (chairman), W. Anderson, J. Watson, F. Frampton, and R. Mcllhinney. Ths Minister of Public Health wrote thanking the people of the district for the assistance rendered during the recent epidemic.—Received.

The following were approved:—W. Millar to John Millar, rural section 4923. containing 20 acres; Prank Ford, Fairton, to Duncan McGregor, lots 48 and 49, . D.P. 1482. William Kennedy intimated that he had resumed occupation of lot 1, Dromore, part reserve 1467, containing 25 acres. —It was agreed to alter, the names on the valuation roll accordingly,.

A circular letter was received from the Government with regard to the forthcoming peace celebrations.-—lt was agreed to fall in with the Borough Council and other public bodies in connection with the arrangements which are now being made for united celebrations.

The County Council intimated that it. would provide oipes for the waterrace crossing the by-road leading to R. J. Begg's farm, No. 2 Ward.—lt was agreed to put the w;»rk in hand as soon as labour was available.

It was resolved that John Moore, Seaview, be given instructions to clear corse on the roadline fronting his property, 8..5. 2-5334.

Members were reminded that the general election of road board members would take pbco in the first week in May. - ' l Accounts mnoiiiriing tol £58 7s 6d were passed for payment.'
