Mr T. C. Brash, of the National Dairy Association, Wellington, will accompany Mr "W-. Dempster, Dairy Inspector i' on M his visit to the United State's alnd Canada, in the interests of the dairy industry. It is expected that these gentlemen will leave New Zealand about the end of next month.
Mr "Charlie"'Frith, the old Canterbury cricketer, died at Dunedin yesterday, aged 65 years. In his day he was the best-known bowler in New Zealand.
Before commencing the business at the County Council meeting to-day, the members passed the following resolution: "That this Council notices ;with regret the deatfi of Private Dudley Harrison, son of Councillor' H. J. Harrison, who has occupied a seat on the Council for many years. The deep sympathy of the Council is tendered to Mr Harrison and family in their sad bereavement.
