The National Mortgage and Agency.Company held a successful clearing sale a.t Staveley yesterday--in the estate of the,. late T. Gundry. The sale consisted chiefly of dairy cows, which were in cood condition, and, considering the fact that the season is now drawing; to a close, the animals were disposed of at satisfactory prices. The herd aggregated 45 head, which sold at prices ranging-from £7 to £14, thei average being about £10. Other sales'' were: —Fat cows £8 12s 6d to £10, 3 yearlings at £2 ss, 12 calves at £1 12s'6d. 4 18-months' cattle at £3, bull £9. ■' The milking plant realised £100.
