A meeting of the Ashburton District Branch of the W.C.T.U. was held in Baring Square schoolroom oh Tues■aay afternoon^ with a good attendance of members and friends. The ladies of the Baptist Foreign Mission Society combined with the members of the local union to supplicate God's blessing upon the efforts being put forward in connection with the coming poll.
