No people think more of their horses than do tttie Japanese. Affer the Chino- . Japanese .War they erected in Tokio a costly memorial to the hoi\ses that had fallen-iii the conflict, and after the Russian war they held a funeral' service to commemorate the horses killed in that war. The war began with the monoplane in greatest favour, but only a short while nfter it was almost totally displaced by the biolane of the tractor type, which is the most widely employed at present. The trinlane is becomingly increasingly Dormlar, and the monoplane is again in use.
