London papers state that arrangements have been completed for the erection of a gigantic equestrian monument on the banks of the Suez Canal, in memory of the heroic deeds of the Australian troops in Palestine, and alone the Canal the survivors of the force save up a day's pay towards the cost of the monument. The Suez Canal Commissioners have agreed to this proiect. and sculptors will shortly be invited to submit designs.
