WELLINGTON CONTRIBUTIONS.

WELLINGTON, August 29. Tho contributions of individual members of the Wellington Commercial Travellers and Warehousemen's Association to the Liberty Loan amount to £72,430. Members are now confident of being able to make the contribution £100,000. .The Harbour Board to-night decided to invest £20,000 in the loan. The question was asked if the amount could not be raised to £50,000, but the board's secretary said £20,000 was all that was available.

It was suggested that when the noxb appeal was made the bo.ird might be able to invest a. further sum of £30,000 to £50.000.
