THE BRITISH OFFENSIVE
LONDON, August 28. Sir Douglas Haig reports:—There has been heavy rain all day. We attacked this afternoon eastward and southward of Langemarck. The first reports indicate satisfactory, progress. We drove off raiders northward of Lens, and brdught down seven enemy aeroplanes.
