apart from pigs killed under official sanction, 5,400,000 included in the last census Ixad absolutely disappeared. This was due to a secret slaughter by their owners. The meat ration was involved by this slaughter, which was calculated to create a meat famine after July, but the bread and other rations could then be increased.
