(Per Press Association.)

CARE OF RETURNED SOLDIERS

ONE-MINISTER CONTROL,

WELLINGTON, May 9

The Hon. A. L. Herdman, in an interview to-day, said: " I agree that it it is practicable there should be one Minister only controlling and administering matters relating to returned soldiers. Such an arrangement will, 1 imagine, be made when the war is over, and the Minister of Defence is relieved of the work of recruiting, training, and despatching soldiers. I am sure that the proposal of the Returned Soldiers' Association is a sound one."
