Kwang Su was favourite, and looked a sure winner* 200 yards from tne post, but Fifinella, on the rails, won ;m exciting finish by a. neck in the last few strides. A head separated the second and third horses. The Chesterfield Handicap was won by tho King's four-year-old Friar Morons, by Cicero —Prim Nun, with Vnnitio. second, and Queen of the Seas third.
