STATEMENT BY FINANCE MINISTER.
WELLINGTON, June 28. The Minister of Finance stated this evening that he thought it fair to indicate to investors, in view of the suggestion that they would contribute to the British war loan, that they might shortly have the opportunity of contributing to a New Zealand loan of an equally favourable kind. He made the statement, he said, because he iiad. heair! that some local people were -arranging to subscribe to th^ British war loan.
