SAPPER E.J. ROSEVEAR.

Sapper E. J. Rosevear (Engineers, -died of enteric fever) was a brother of Miss Rosevear, Home Science mistress at the Ashburton High School. He was a signaller, who left the Dominion with the main body of the Expeditionary Force. He was the eldest son of Mr E. A. Rosevear (president of the Otago Centre, N.Z.A.A.A.), and was 21 years of age. He was educated at the Albany Street School, Dunedin, and later on at the Otago Boys' High School, where he was a member of the School Cadets. Sapper Rosevear was a well-known amateur athlete, he being a pronaaient member of the Dunedin Amateur Athletic Club and St. Kilda Clulx, Twawing several handicap events in a. siyle which stamped him as a runner of great possibilities.
