YOUNG TURKS IN'COUNCIL.
ENVER PASHA CRITICISED.
PARIS, May 31. The Dedeagatch correspondent of the "Temps*".', states that after Italy's declaration :bf war the Young Turks held a council. ' Enyer Pasha's attitude was severely criticised by the majority, who declared that the prolongation of the Struggle promised no success. It was pointed out that Turkey could have made peace a ,few months' ago and kept Constantinople, and under certain conditions she could, even now, have peace and keep Smyrna. Enver Pasha interrupted the talk by declaring that the Allies would never offer acceptable terms after their enormous losses at. the Dardanelles. ' Turkey's only' salvation was to throw I in her lot with Germany, whose sub- i | marines had .seriously .embarrassed; the Allies. Eriver Pasha proposed to create a diversion by • attacking Italy.
