DR. MAWSON EXPLAINS.

NEWCASTLE;, March 14
Dr. Mawson states,that Jeffreys was one of the party left ashore at Commonwealth Bay to work; the wireless. His health failed, and his mental condition showed weakness; ho began to despatch extraordinary messages, and was relieved from wireless duties, Dr. Mac-Lean sparing no pains to afford him relief. Ho-appeared to recover, and when, landed at Adelaide seemed quite normal,' and was paid off. He said he intended returning to his home at Toowoomba.
