Mr Hamar Greenwood, speaking in the debate on the Army Estimates, denounced what iie described as the sinister feminine influence in British regiments. He described how Australia had wiped out the social status idea in its army. The two best, officers in, the Australian training school were, he said, ; sons of a policeman and shoemaker respectively. Such men would have no chance at Sandhurst.
