CONFERENCE PROBABLE SOON

In the House of Commons, Mr F. I) Acland, Financial Secretary to the War Office, in reply to Sir Gilbert Parker, said that the first suggestion of a conference regarding the New Hebrides was made last summer. Since then France had asked Britain to state ivitli greater detail the matters she desired to discuss. This had been done in November, after a consultation with Australia and New Zealand.
Britain hoped that Franco might be able to agree to a conference, wn;.
should meet at an early date.
