Annual Genera! Meeting
The annual general meeting of the Ashbulrton Golf Olub v/as held- last evening.: There was a good attendance ,of members, and the captain (Mr D. Wood) presided. The report for last season showed that the year had been a most success--fill one, and the balance-sheet disclosed -the fact that the club stands in a good position -financially. During the year a golf house costing' £175 had been erected, and after this amount had been paid, the club had a debit balance of only £27, which was considered most satisfactory. It wa,s estimated that at the close of the coming season that after necessary repairs had been effected on the links, the club would show a credit.
Officers for the -ensuing year ,were elected as follows:—President, Mr T. Bullock (re-elected); .vice-presidents, Messrs:'J.' B." Hart'(reflected) and G. D. Greenwood; committee, Messrs E. A. Denhafn, H. M. Macfa'rlane and A. T. Robertson ; secretary and treasurer, Mr C. de 0. Denshire j iiandicapper, Mr G. H. Buchanan.
Votes of thanks were accorded the lady members of the club, to Mr J. 13. Christian (for ths use of his room), and to the outgoing officers. The opening day was fixed for April 2, when, the usual .competitions will be played. k , The meeting closed with a vote ot thanks to'"the chair.
