ART UNIONS CONDEMNED

The Methodist Conference decided on "a vigorous pledge-signing crusade during tho year, recommended legislation i for State option in addition, to local i option ballots, on a basis of a bare majority vote, entered protests against Sunday military, exercises and prizefights, protesting against the licensing of stadiums, urged that tho AttorneyGenerals should refuse to authorise art unions, which are instruments of gambling, and urged all Methodists to abstain fi'om secular engagements and unnecessary travelling on Sunday.
