TO-MORROW'S PROGRAMME

' The filial arrangements in ,conhectiqii 'with the visit.to .Ashburton of his; Excellency .the Governor of New Zealand have now been completed, and if the' present spell, of, fine weather holds the occasion should be a • most successful one. Lord Liverpool, who is to be. accompanied by the Countess of. Liverpool and other members of the vice-regal party, will motor through from Christchurch, arriving at Ashburton about 3.30 to. morrow afternoon. Their excellencies will be met at .'the Jubilee or Lodge Gates of the Domain by the Mayor and Councillors, and after the usual felicitations have taken place an adjournment will be made to the Domain, where, at a spot .near the bowling green, a civic,address will be read and presented to Lord Liverpool by Ashburton's'Chief' Magistrate* (Mr Henry Davis). After the formal ceremonies are over j Lord .and Lady Liverpool will be entertained at a fternoon tea. Nearly 100 invitations, have been sent out in connection, -'with, this latter function. 4 including, those to members of the County; Council arid other .local bodies. r Subsequently, the. < Earl V and Countess will leave forV Lohgbeaeh, where, they will be -the", guests of.. Mr John Grigg for a couple, of days. The Ashburton Temperance Brass Band will be in attendance.
