CREW ADRIFT IN AN OPEN BOAT

New Jersey reports that the steamer Charlemagne Tower sank in the Atlantic. •
The captain and crew, 17 in all, were adrift in an open overcrowded boat. | Tho heavy sea prevented them from landing, and they drifted off again and became lost sight of in a. snowstorm. Revenue cutters are searching for the boat.
