COUNTY CENTRES.

NEWS AND NOTES. STAVELEY. (From a Correspondent.) A splendid line of bacon pigs from the Staveley district was consigned from Springburn to the Addmgton stock market on Tuesday last. Comment was made at the sale on Wednesday that it was the most valuable truckload of stock that had ; entered the yards for some time. The pigs were a prime lot and good prices were' realised for them. As' they were, all grown on the .by-products- of the factory,' it goes-to-show what a valuable side line of dairying. ..pig-raising is. Excellent prices are being obtained for mis year's calves and coupled with the above, the dairy farmers of Staveley are enjoying a very profitable schsoh. Feed is still plentiful and the milk supply is keeping up well and is far greater than for the same month, ast year. '
