SCOTLAND'S FLIGHT.

CHRISTCHURCtf, March 6. Mr J. W. H. Scotland accomplished his flight from Timaru to Christchnrch in a Cauclron biplano' to-day. He left Timaru at 8.35 a.m., hut was compelled, owing to coldness and engine troubles, to descend at Orari at 9 a.m., which place he left at 3.30 p.m. again, arriving and landing successfully on the show grounds at ChristchurcJi at 5.5 p.m. He was welcomed by about 200 people. The trip was very rough, with a gusty wind.
