SOUTH RAKAIA TO HAVE AN EXTRA MEMBER. •

' At yesterday's meeting of the Ash- < burton County Council the Chairman (Cr. C. J. Harper) introduced the matter of the representation on "the Council of the different ridings of the County. The Council at' present consisted of nine members, but there was authority of law to increase the number to 12. The present representation was as follows:— Rateable Hiding. Members.
