The greatest secrecy is being maintained in regard to the discovery of a process for the preservation of cordite, preventing deterioration in hot climates. Tlie treatment is based on molybdenum (a hard silver-white metallic element). ■ //■.-.■ In view of cordite losses, the; French authorities, are inquiring into the deposits' of molybdenum in Australia. Within a month the price of the ore has risen from 75s to 110s a ton. f
