SOME NEW DISCOVERIES

i SYDNEY, March 5. ; Dr. • McLean, bacteriologist, and Mr Hurley, photographer, of Mawson's expedition, have returned to Sydney. Dr. McLean added a few details to what is already known with regard to the expedition. He said the story was a long one, and was not for him to tell. When Mawson's book- came out the public would read the whole thing. Amongst other important discoveries, were nests of Antarctic petrels, \hich' had never before been found, and\j x Ross seals, a very rare specias. Whiu. they were dredging, many' rare new specimens were obtained. :
