John McDonald was charged with threatening behaviour in a public place, and also with using obscene language. On the first .offence he was convicted and discharged, and on the second was convicted and fined 40s.
■ Archibald Baxter was charged with drunkenness, using obscene language, and resisting ihe police. On j the first two offences be was convicted and discharged, and on the third was convicted and sentenced to one month's hard labour in Lyttelton Gaol v ■
