The Rev. H. H. Hughes, M.A. (the newly-appointed pastor of the local Baptist Church), and Mrs Hughes arrived in Ashburton by this afternoon's express from the south. They ■were' met at the station by several officebearers of the Baptist Church. . Mr Hughes, who will commence his ministry in Ashburton next Sunday, has just returned to the Dominion from a trip to Australia.
