LONDON, March 3
In the House of Commons, Mr Churchill, in introducing the Supplementary Naval Estimates amounting to £2,500,000, said it was serious, but unavoidable, that the increase of oil reserves should have cost £100,000, but there was now enough oil for three years of peace or a year's war. The acceleration of battleships to cover the xlelgy in the .construction of the Canadian, ships accounted for £450,000, and quicker work by contractors £1,000,000.
