TWO HOUSES DESTROYED

WELLINGTON, March 3. Bolwoon 0 and G o'clock this morning a firo br<--k*< out in a wash-house connected wiUi a dwelling-house of six rooms at Khamiiillah, owned and occupied by Mr Murray Thompson. The flames spread to the residence, which was soon destroyed. Th« adjoining house of eight rooms, owned by Olive Sqgnmerville ■ and occupied by 'N. F. Outhbertson, afterwards took'fire and soon was reduced to ashes. There was no water supply and a stiff nor'-wester was blowing. Some of the furniture from both houses was saved. The insurances are not available.
