A proposal is to go forward (says the 'Timar'u "Post") from the fellmongers engaged at one of the freezing works near Timaru that a clause be embodied in the new award (the old award expired last Monday) to the effect that a secret ballot be taken on any impending strike, and that the men cannot be called out unless the voting shows a three-fifths majority.
