In brilliant sunshine, enormous .* crowds gathered in Hyde Park. Two \ processions, each containing 50,000 .people, marched from Cricklewood and ■ the Embankment respectively.
There were nine platforms, one for ( each. of the 'deported men. Re:fei*ences to the deportations without -.trial raised a storm of indignation.
The meeting resolved to urge the ■Government not to assent to the Indemnity Bill. |
