NEW ZEALAND DISTRICT •\ MEETING.
AUCKLAND, February 27. The delegates to the annual meeting of the New Zealand district of the Hibernian Australasian Catholic. Benefit Society discussed the unity scheme, which has been engaging the serious attention of the New_ Zealand branches. A good deal of opinion being expressed, the district president asked that the scheme should not be put to the vote. He promised that by next district meeting to, provide the machinery for the full working of the scheme. A. resolution was carried, aslring the 1 District Executive to take into consideration the best means to promote unity and propagation of the Society, and to take counsel with various centres in the Dominion to submit proposals. ■ The next triennial meeting was arranged to be held 111^1916. Officers were elected as follows:—President, Mr D. Flyhn; vicepresident, Mr Jas. Smith ; secretary, Mr W. Kane,; treasurer, Mr M. J. Sheahan; auditors, Messrs J. Stead and O. Mulholland.
