HON. F. M. B. FISHER AT WAIROA.

WAIROA, February 27. The Hou. F. M. B. Fisher addressed a large audience in the Royal Albert Hall last night. He dealt largely with the Government's policy, defending the increase in expenditure as being re-» quired by the country. He also defended the action of the Government respecting the strike, declaring that no man had a right to say to his fellows that they should not work. He condemned the second ballot and said proportional representation was not wanted in New Zealand.

Edwin Mitchelson (who was Minister for "Works in- the Atkinson Ministry, and has recency recovered from ill-liealth) will in .ilT'iprobability stand for a seat at the coming elections.
